1. Start the subject line with keywords: Project/task name – Action – Subject e.g. Retail Comms – Input request – Reporting article final draft review request 
  2. Email body summary – summarize the purpose of the email, ask, requested action, and expected outcome in the first two sentences
  3. Email body – answer 5 whys – who, what, where, when, and why
  4. Formatting – fit content in a single pane. Make it mobile-friendly
  5. Use prioritized lists and nested lists
